PPG Training Is Not Expensive
I have recently spoke with a prospective student who mentioned that $ 3500 (Sep 2016) for week of training is a lot of money and it is quite expensive.
Consider this:
- Try to hire an electrician that will start working on Saturday morning and will work for 12 hours straight, then from Sunday morning to Friday evening 8 hrs each day. Your bill will be way more then $3500.
- Try this with plumber, carpenter and any other trade… never mind lawyer, engineer or such…
Further more:
$3500 PPG course fee includes aircraft rental for approximately 7 – 8 hrs. If you rent Piper Cherokee (aircraft I rent) 8 hour rent alone is $1220.
As well
- Electrician, plumber, carpenter have very limited liability.
- If someone will crash badly under my guidance, general public will not consider this to ben just an accident like car crash, or snowmobile or ATV crash.
- Because it is flying and it is unusual, there will be stories in the media. General public will question if this type of flying is necessary and I will get dragged over the coals being the instructor involved, there will be TC investigations and list just goes on.
If this was an easy way to make $ there would be school in every town… but there is not.
