Sep 3/14 – 3 guys, 2 props, 1 flight

t was quite windy at the field at 4 PM. Mike, Lawrence and Ben were all planning to fly. We waited till 6 :30 pm then one person broke prop, another person has given up for this evening and the third person broke prop as well but we mounted his spare and he had a nice flight.

Two props broken and only 1 flight – not very good ratio.

Aug 25/14 – Training with Mike, George and Lawrence

Awesome conditions at the field. Smooth wind, very warm, just perfect. Lawrence and Mike did not waste any time and proceeded to do four flights each. George needs a little bit more work on the ground handling. We have tried to take off initially but it didn’t work out of him. Very good evening.

Aug 21/14 – Flight to London

Since I am planning to flight commercially, I need to build up my hours. My next goal is to have 50 XC hours and once I have that I can start IFR training. Also night flying rating is coming up but we need the days to be shorter.

Here are bunch of pics from my flight to London. It was very busy there, kind of scary. Not like the first time I flew in. London is class “C” control zone and pilot must read back all instructions and get clearances for all actions. The problem is that the controllers speak so quickly that is is very hard to decipher what they are saying and you really want to make sure you got it right when big jet is right on your ass…
