June 30/13 – Marc 1 flight, Byron 2 flights and Denis about to fly

Started at 7 o’clock in the morning. Conditions were perfect. Byron was showing really good control over his forward inflations so I have decided that he will be the first one to give it a go. We set up and after couple failed attempts Byron was in the air – completely calm and completely in control. He even got on the radio on his very first flight and was talking to me really calmly just no problem at all. He made a half decent landing little rough because he did not leave his legs out and stayed seated – that’s fine pretty good landing regardless. Next was Marc, he was rushing things a bit, always using too much power musculing his way through the inflations. His takeoff was one of the messiest I’ve ever seen – he did everything wrong stopped running and sat down, pull way too much break on lift off, started a major oscillation and pulled really hard right hand turn against the torque… yikes
Next was Denis to go. We got ready, inflated all was lined up properly he started to apply power and just like Marc he completely sat down – did not run at all. We tried couple more more times but no luck so Dennis took a rest. Byron quickly took off again – perfectly – just like before had a nice and calm flight. I then tried to Dennis again but the wind started to pick up real hard and it was nearly impossible to do forward inflation. Marc tried as well but at this point wind was simply too strong so we packed it up – not a bad morning but some crazy stuff! I definitely, definitely got my dose of adrenaline this morning – thank you Marc.
